Join our team at Le Sueur-Henderson Middle School as a Math Tutor, and you can support students as they build essential math skills.
Math Tutors serve during the school day and meet with small groups of students in grades 6-8 to help strengthen their skills and confidence. With training and support from an onsite coach, you’ll be use proven activities that help students improve in math. No matter your math ability, you can make a great tutor.
This is a paid AmeriCorps member position with Math Corps. No teaching experience is required! All you need is a desire to help kids succeed. By giving your time as a tutor, you can make an incredible impact and help more students become successful learners!
Tutor Perks:
A paycheck every two weeks
Additional money for college tuition or student loans. Tutors aged 55 and older may gift this to their child, grandchild, stepchild, step-grandchild, or foster child
Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment
Child care assistance – based on family size and income
Predictable schedule – daytime hours with no evenings or weekends

Volunteers Needed for the Le Sueur County Relay For Life

⏰ Volunteer shifts available from 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Let's show our LSH Giant support and come together for an event that celebrates survivors, honors loved ones, and raises funds to fight cancer. Our Relay For Life Committee has an amazing group of volunteers, but we need more helping hands to make this incredible event a success!
High school students and adults are encouraged to volunteer!
Need volunteer hours for:
✅ National Honor Society
✅ Church Confirmation
✅ Community Service
There are many ways to help:
🎪 Run games and activities
🕯️ Set up the luminary track/path
🛠️ Help with setup
🧹 Assist with cleanup at the end of the evening
🙋 Adults are especially needed throughout the day
Even a couple of hours can make a big difference. Let's show up and show out with LSH Giant pride for this important community event!
