Ms. Lerud’s Accelerated U.S. History class wrapped up the year by creating incredible WWII Museum Exhibits! 🇺🇸
Students conducted research, recreated artifacts, and taught their classmates about important WWII topics through creative and interactive displays. Their hard work, teamwork, and creativity truly brought history to life!

What’s new this year:
This year’s event will be a simple handout of school supplies. Families will pick up pre-packed supplies rather than a full "resource fair", selecting items on-site.
Important:
Applications must be submitted by May 15 in order to reserve supplies. Quantities are based on completed online submissions, so early sign-up is strongly encouraged. Please use the link here to submit your application (English or Spanish).

Our TARGET and NHS members had the opportunity to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children. We are so proud of our LSH students for giving back to others and making a positive impact in the world through their time and service. Thank you for representing our school with compassion, leadership, and kindness!
The Work-Based Learning students enjoyed learning about the Machine Tool Technology Department at SCC. Students had the opportunity to use a variety of machine tools. They even made a keychain on the CNC machine with the new SCC mascot, The Otters!
The AVID Junior Summit at MSU, Mankato, brought together some AVID 11th graders from LSH, as well as the surrounding Mankato area, for a day of learning and inspiration. Students attended sessions on Financial Literacy, Student Leadership, and heard from current MSU students. The event also included a campus tour. It was a great opportunity for students to explore college life and gain valuable academic insights! Pictured are the LSH AVID 11 students who participated in this outstanding opportunity.

Miss Bill’s health classes learned CPR and how to use an AED this week. They are now certified through the American Heart Association. Congrats to every one of you!
On Wednesday, April 15th, the 10th graders attended the Career Expo at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in Mankato. Students engaged in various career exploration activities, which included visiting interactive exhibits, listening to local businesspeople share their career journeys across different fields, and participating in career trivia for a chance to win prizes from local businesses.
Le Sueur County Child Services is extending its deadline to RSVP for this event that includes a FREE meal from Erbert's & Gerbert's to Monday, April 13th.

Yesterday was Spread the Word Day! Our Unified crew shared our message of inclusion with RISE classes, then invited the entire school to take the pledge to include during lunch.
The group also sold T-shirts & participated in a virtual leadership conference in honor of Spread the Word Day.
